Surfing around like I do, I ran across this article which is a great example of what a little persistence can do to a scammer!
Great read.

Chris and I have had a discussion about everything going on between he and I. We both came to the same conclusion that everything that was going on became misconstrued. Neither of us was right or wrong. We both saw the light and decided it was time to end this barrage of insults and bullcrap and move on. This is an apology for the posts that were here and are now gone. Hopefully, we can both learn something from this situation and avoid it in the future.

Wow. Yeah. Sure. This article is dedicated to the Systat guy in this quote. Ya know, certifications can show that you have dedication to your job and chosen talents, however, a certification is not a substitute for a brain and common sense.
I mean, yeah, you have certifications. Does that mean that you know what you’re talking about? The answer is simple. No. A certification does not automatically say to someone, “Hey, I know what I’m doing because I have a certification!”
I have certifications too. Does that mean I know what I’m doing? No. It doesn’t. Don’t get me wrong, the certifications I have I do know what I’m doing, but that isn’t the point of this article. If you read the quote I linked to you’d understand.
Common sense and knowledge of how something works does not necessarily come from a certification. I’m not certified in Windows Administration, but I’m damn good at it. I’m not an ASE certified mechanic, but I can take my car apart and put it back together. I’m not an astronaut, but I’m damn sure I could fly to space and walk on the moon just as well as anyone else.
Trying to convince someone in an argument that you know what you’re doing because you have a certification is like saying that someone KNOWS how to drive just because they have their drivers license. Franky, that means crap. Just because you HAVE the license doesn’t mean you know what you’re doing. Trust me, a certification doesn’t mean you have a clue. It just means you have more of a clue then road kill. You just move quicker when crossing the street as you know what the repercussions of you standing in the middle of the road are.
Point being: Certifications ARE a good thing, but when someone clearly has no clue, then you’re claims to certifications are instantly voided.
Here’s a tip: I would reconsider your certifications, but first you have to slam your head in the door of a bathroom stall and give yourself a swirly before I even consider respecting your authority as a certified linux administrator.

Ok, what is this world coming to when a grandma who is apparently handicapped, this assumed because of the handicapped plate on the back of the mini van, has spinner rims!?!
My wife, daughter, and I decided to head out to the house and see how the construction was coming. When I happen to look up at a light and see this Astro mini van with spinner rims and an old lady driving. Either she was just jammin’ and tryin’ to hang with the youngin’s or some type of medication was missed….

I was recently informed by one of my many users that apparently there was someone using MY server to DoS and attempt brute force attempts against another companies’ services.
Any systems admin would take this to be a serious offense and of course would call to action the many tools we have to find the culprit and put a stop to it.
So, I went about setting up firewall rules to trap the traffic and doing TCP/IP and UDP sniffs on the server looking for anything going to the aforementioned IP block.
What I found was amazing.. wanna know what it was? NOTHING!
The person making these claims has no proof and is blowing smoke up my ass. That, to me, is low. Look if you have a problem with someone who uses my services, that’s fine. But when you drag my reputation through the mud you better have proof of said abuse. However, from what I’m told, you “had the logs” but you “deleted them.” What administrator in their right mind goes on and on for weeks at a time about someone abusing services but deletes the logs? I have an answer: a stupid one. Or for lighter terms, ignorant.
Next time, be sure who you are dealing with doesn’t have the ability to make you look like a dumbass. If it happens again, the carrier of the said ignorant/idiot soul’s services will be contacted and he can explain to them why it is that he has no logs of the said dasterly deed and why he can’t show proof.
Oh, I’m sure he has proof. Proof that he forged.
Next tool please…

Well, we decided to go out to the house again yesterday and what we found was that the brick and all the electrical has been completed. Amazing how fast they can work. This means we aren’t too far off from closing on the home, me taking some vacation time off, and moving the family into the new home! Yes! ‘Bout damn time I would say!
New pics have been posted in their respective galleries. Enjoy!

Just a small update to pass on. My wife and I spun out to the house last night to take a look on the progress since we were out that way last weekend. At this point, they have both of the bathroom tubs in place and plumbing seems to have started. They also seem to have the HVAC ducting and the piping for that ready to go for the water heater as well.
They’ve also go the brick for our home on site and it looks like they will be putting shingles on and siding and getting ready to do the drive way in no time!
Sorry, no new pictures to post at this time. Not enough of a change for us to warrant a new post
Stay tuned!
