Slamd64 mirror

Jun 16, 2006 in Linux, Slamd64

Thanks go to skac from ##slackware on freenode for donating space on one of his servers for me to host a nice Slamd64 mirror. The mirror is located at mirror.slackadelic.com and has http/ftp/rsync protocols ready to be used.

Wtf?

I have been informed of another port of Slackware to the x86_64 arch. After reviewing the site and talking with a few other people, I will not post a link to this site here, for now. The “author” of this distribution has asked for help from numerous people, including myself, who work with the Slamd64 distribution with no credit to this fact on his website. I, myself, don’t need the credit, but I believe that Fred Emmott should be credited with the help he has given as his work on Slamd64 is what got “the other” distribution off the ground. Until that is done, the link will *not* be posted here. Like it or not, not my problem. This is my opinion, and therefore is law :)

A new horizon

I decided that having a CMS dedicated for slackware/slamd64 wasn’t going to work quite right as they have enough support as it is. This will be my personal blog of sorts pertaining mostly to linux, but other personal things as well. The postings are my opinions an mine only; if you don’t like it, well you don’t have to be here now do you.
